Quick percentages and slider
Preset buttons for 10%, 15%, 18%, 20% and 25% cover the most common rates with a single tap. For finer control, drag the slider anywhere between 0 and 50%. Enter the bill amount and pick a currency ($, €, £, ₺ and more), and the tip amount, grand total and per-person figures update instantly. The plus and minus buttons let you set the number of people sharing the bill.
Splitting the bill fairly
The calculator shows four results at once: total tip, grand total, tip per person and amount per person. That means you never have to work out each share by hand on a group meal. Is the tip calculated before or after tax?
The tool calculates on the full bill amount you enter. If you prefer to tip only on the pre-tax subtotal, simply enter that subtotal in the bill field.
How many people can I split the bill between?
Use the plus and minus buttons to set any number of people, with a minimum of one. The per-person total and tip update instantly as you change the count.
Which currencies can I choose?
You can pick from dollar, euro, pound, yen, Turkish lira, rupee, won and Bitcoin symbols. The choice only changes the symbol shown; it does not affect the math.
