Scientific Calculator

Trigonometry, logarithms and more

What does this tool do?

The Scientific Calculator goes beyond basic arithmetic with trigonometry, logarithms, roots, powers and constants. Built for students, engineers and anyone doing frequent complex calculations, it offers a RAD/DEG angle mode, memory keys and the π and e constants on one screen.

How to use it

  1. Enter your values into the fields.
  2. The result is calculated instantly.
  3. Read or copy the result.

Functions and angle modes

The sin, cos and tan functions are interpreted in degrees or radians depending on the RAD/DEG switch at the top, so choosing the right mode is what determines a correct trigonometry result. The log key gives base-10 logarithm and ln gives the natural logarithm. There is √ for square root, x² to square the current value, 1/x for the reciprocal, and ^ for any power. The π and e constants insert into your expression with a single tap, letting you solve circle or exponential problems without typing them out.

Memory and correction keys

M+ adds the displayed value to memory, MR recalls it, and MC clears it, while the M= indicator at the top always shows the current stored value. This lets you park an intermediate result and reuse it later in a long calculation. AC resets the whole display, ⌫ deletes the last character you entered, and ± flips the sign. A copy button moves the result somewhere else in a single click.

Frequently asked questions

How do I switch between RAD and DEG?

Use the checkbox at the top right of the calculator. When ticked it is in RAD (radians); unticked it is in DEG (degrees), and sin, cos and tan are evaluated according to that mode.

What is the difference between log and ln?

The log key computes base-10 logarithm (log₁₀), while ln is the natural logarithm in base e. They are separate keys, and picking the wrong one gives a different result.

How do I enter powers and square roots?

For a power, type the base, press ^, then enter the exponent (for example 2^10). For a square root press √( and type the number inside the parentheses; the x² key squares the current display value directly.
