IP Range Expander

Expand a start-end IP range into a list

What does this tool do?

The IP Range Expander turns a start and end IP address into a full list of every address in between. It is built for network administrators, security analysts and scripters who need a ready-to-use address list instead of a range.

How to use it

  1. Enter an address, domain or value.
  2. View the results instantly.
  3. Copy the details you need.

How to expand a range

Enter a start and end IP address, for example 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.20. The tool generates every address between them in order and lists them line by line. You can copy the list straight into firewall rules, ping scripts, allow lists or scan targets. All calculation happens in your browser, so the address ranges you type are never sent to a server and your internal network details stay private.

Typical use cases

Expanding a range saves time when you want to scan a specific portion of a subnet, document the addresses in a DHCP pool, or feed a target list to a monitoring tool. Instead of typing hundreds of addresses by hand, you just specify the start and end. Save the output to a text file and feed it into nmap, fping or your own automation scripts.

Frequently asked questions

Can I expand very large ranges?

Yes, but ranges with millions of addresses may slow your browser down. For very wide blocks like a /16 it is best to split the result into smaller chunks.

Does it support CIDR notation?

This tool works with a start-end pair. To expand a CIDR block, enter its first and last address as the start and end values.

Is the output sorted?

Yes, addresses are generated in ascending numerical order from start to end, so the list is predictable and contains no duplicates.

Is IP Range Expander free?

Yes. IP Range Expander and all 300+ tools on MagmaNex are completely free with no signup or account required.

Is my data safe?
