How dots, dashes, and spacing work
The tool uses the standard international Morse alphabet, where letters are built from dots (.) and dashes (-). When encoding, each letter is separated by a single space and words are separated by a forward slash (/). When decoding, it expects the same layout: spaces between letter codes and ' / ' between words. It supports A-Z, 0-9, and common punctuation such as period, comma, question mark, and parentheses; any unrecognized character is shown as a question mark.
