Shades and harmony schemes
The tool first derives a nine-step shade scale from 100 to 900 out of your base color; these are the same hue and saturation at increasing lightness, from light to dark, much like a Tailwind or design-system color ramp. It then generates four harmony schemes: complementary, analogous, triadic and split complementary. Each color tile shows its HEX value beneath it for quick reference.
What each harmony is for
Complementary colors sit opposite each other for strong contrast and accents; analogous colors sit side by side on the wheel for calm, cohesive designs; the triadic scheme offers three balanced yet vivid colors; and split complementary is a softer take on complementary. Clicking any color copies its HEX code to your clipboard and shows a checkmark to confirm.

How are the 100–900 shades generated?
Your base color's hue and saturation are kept; only the lightness (the L in HSL) is varied from 10% to 90% to produce nine light-to-dark steps.
How do I get a color's HEX code?
Just click any color tile; the HEX value is copied to your clipboard automatically and a checkmark appears on the tile.
What is the difference between analogous and split complementary?
Analogous colors are neighbors ±30° from the base hue; split complementary takes the two colors flanking the opposite hue, at 150° and 210°.
